Franklin Balanced Advantage Fund Delivers 13% CAGR Amid Hybrid Fund Growth
Franklin India Balanced Advantage Fund has outperformed its benchmark with a 13% compounded annual growth rate over the past two years, eclipsing the NIFTY 50 Hybrid Composite Debt 50:50 Index's 10% return. The ₹2,700 crore fund, launched in September 2022, turned ₹1 lakh lump-sum investments into ₹14.22 lakh and grew ₹3.6 lakh SIP contributions to ₹4.27 lakh by August-end.
"Balanced Advantage Funds dynamically adjust equity-debt allocations based on market valuations," said portfolio manager K Rajasa, noting the category's expansion as investors refine risk-return expectations. The fund's proprietary model combines qualitative fundamentals with quantitative metrics like NSE 500 P/E and P/B ratios to optimize asset mix.
